Brian Head, Utah Area Skiing

Brian Head is Southern Utah's winter sport destination with great skiing and snowboarding. Less than two hours north of St. George - home of year round golf - Brian Head is a great place to enjoy winter sports like skiing, cross country skiing, snowboarding, and tubing in this area.

Skiing/Snowboarding/Tubing
With over 400 inches of snow a year Brian Head Resort offers over 40 runs, 2 terrain parks, and a half pipe on Navajo and Giant Steps Mountains for intermediate and advanced skiers and snowboarders. Depending upon conditions, double black diamond options are also available for advanced skiers. Navajo Lodge Learning Center is aimed at children and winter sport newcomers as instruction is provided on Navajo Mountain. Tubing is a great alternative activity for skiing and snowboarding. People of all ages will enjoy tubing down a ski mountain - everyone is an expert. Brian Head Resort offers special rental prices and runs for tubing.

Cross Country Skiing
The Brian Head area offers over 26 miles of cross country skiing trails. Half of the trails are suitable for beginners, and all will enjoy the spectacular scenery of all the trails in this picturesque Southern Utah location. Many businesses in Brian Head cater to cross country skiers as they sell and rent equipment at reasonable rates.

Skiing

Snowboarding
Access the entire mountain with 3 terrain parks, featuring elements from the top of the lift all the way down to the base. Including a mix of big air jumps, table tops, quarter pipes, hips, spines, gaps and rails.

Snow Tube Park
Like a water slide park on snow complete with a surface lift that takes you and your tube to the top of the hill. For the more adventurous, the "After Burner", a chair lift accessed run through the trees.

X-Country Skiing & Snowmobiling
with 45km of marked trails and of another 300km of unmarked, a variety of terrain is available for nordic skiers of all abilities.

Pinewoods Resort
In winter this high plateau offers the most reliable snow and longest season in the southwest United States. Its hills and valleys provide the ultimate in diverse terrain and scenic beauty. The endless meadows become playgrounds and the logging roads and forest trails provide corridors to numerous exciting scenic destinations.

Zion Ponderosa Ranch
Zion Ponderosa sits at the base of the Dixie National Forest winter recreation area. We offer guided snowmobile tours, cross country skiing and downhill skiing.
