The region surrounding Bryce Canyon
National Park in Southern Utah was stereotypical cowboy
country of the Old West. Many people in the 1800s
and 1900s made their livings - if not their survival
- by raising cattle. In fact, the Burr Trail near
Boulder (east of Bryce Canyon along Scenic Byway 12)
is one of the most famous cattle drive trails in the
country.
