When Zion National Park was first established
few people were willing to make the trip to
the park despite the incredible reviews it had
been receiving. The
park was located in a remote part of Southern
Utah and there were no well established roads
or nearby cities. Luckily, present-day visitors
no longer have to traverse dirt roads or long
stretches of sparsely populated desert in order
to enjoy the beauty and magnificence of Zion
National Park. Nearby St. George, Utah has become
a tourist destination in and of itself offering
vast dining, lodging, and entertainment options.
The town of Springdale at the mouth of Zion
Canyon also offers visitors all of the amenities
they need to enjoy their stay. Whether you are
traveling from nearby Nevada, Arizona, or California,
or from across the ocean you will find that
Zion is easily accessed and well worth the trip.
